A Month after 26/11

It’s been a month today.Thinking about 26/11,remembering the massacre which took place at CST station, siege of Hotel Taj and Oberoi and Nariman House, all these places do bring a sense of anger , revenge, courage, sadness and fear.

My exams are still going on, but how can I turn a deaf ear to what’s going on in my country. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”,”THIS NATION HAS LIONS,LEAD BY DONKEYS” were some of the slogans people carried last month during peace march after a week of this incident. Being a Mumbaikat myself, witnessing such events carried out by citizens of my country show that we are all united.

We as Indians, and also as humans, have tolerated this “TERRORISM” to the maximum possible limit. We ourselves have raised the bar of our tolerance after many such terror attacks in our country and the world.
I don’t have any personal hatred towards the neighbouring country “PAKISTAN”, but my point is when both countries want to eliminate this issue jointly, then why does “PAKISTAN” wants war with India?
All over the news channels, there’s only one issue discussed regarding the possibility of war between India and Pakistan. War is not a solution but an alternative to it. When destruction takes place, both nations are at loss.
Pakistan must not support the various terror camps but to stop their operational stauts and ban them completely in their nation. If they are unable to do so, they must seek help from other countries.
I don’t know what other nations and their citizens have to say, but we, the citizens of INDIA now cannot tolerate this anymore. We elect our own people in the world’s Largest Democracy. They have to take severe action against the supporters of the terror organizations.

ThAT DrEaDfuL wEEk

As written in my previous post...i enjoyed Matheran trip with my friends a lot.
It was fun...i saw the best part of Mother nature in its full swing during monsoon.
It was undescribable experience, only a person visiting there can tell how the place is.

This trip was on Sunday 29th June.On 3rd July i.e Thursday I started feeling uneasy. As if some fever is gripping me.I got fever around 102F.
I had to go to the doctor. He prescribed me some medicines considering i had viral fever. He said "If the fever persist, please do a blood test." in his strong voice.I said "OK".

I took the medicines,I didn't get fever again, but my dad insisted to do the blood test the next morning i.e. Friday.

Friday I started getting fever in the evening,so after I collected reports and showed it to my Doctor, there was no sign of any other disease except viral fever ( which according to my doctor I had).He asked me to continue with same medicines.I had extreme headaches too.My mother thought they were due to sinusitis which I had before. She and my doctor asked me to take steam, but it didn't do any good to me.

My next day i.e.Saturday was good.I was fine. The whole day I was online. My parents thought I was alright.I was happy that I was back to normal.

The next day i.e. Sunday,I was experiencing headache...the one I got during my fever.I was feeling quite uneasy. My parents thought I was just acting it out to avoid their trip to Lonavala. They had made a day trip to Lonavala. They coaxed me to go with them.It was a 2 and a half hour drive. We reached there at around 4pm.I missed my timing of medicines to be taken.I took my medicines when we sat for lunch in the hotel.I was shivering due to chill which was felt only by me.I was feeling so cold that my nails started to turn blue and numb.I was damned scared.I showed it to mu mom.We cancelled our trip and decided to come back.We left immediately at around 5pm.

We reached home at around 7pm.I was taken to the hospital by my parents directly.
I showed my nails to the doctor, but by the time I reached the hospital my nails were almost normalised. But there was shivering and fever 104F.My fever was about to cross 105F.
It was highly alarming. As it was Sunday, most of the doctors were unavailable.
A doctor was called and he asked my dad to admit me in the hospital.

At around 8pm,I was finally admitted in the hospital.I was in immense pain.I was feeling like tearing my head apart. The fever was too much for me too bear.I was so red hot still I was under two blankets. My blood was taken for blood test.I was administered several injections, medicines and many more.I was also on dextrose drip because I was not eating anything due to nausea.

At 10pm,my reports were told on phone to the doctor present there. He confirmed their doubts and speculations that I had MALARIA.

I was suffering from MALARIA.Probably I was bitten by a Female Anopheles mosquito in the marshy area of Matheran.I was in immense pain due to headaches. That night I was unable to sleep because of headcahe. The doctor was called. He gave me an injection after which I fell asleep. The next day too the headache persisted.

I was in hospital for 4 days.I was feeling weak and exhausted.I was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday at 10pm.
I was happy to be back home again......
I was advised to take rest for few days....but I can never forget this week in my whole LIFE..!!!!

Matheran

We had been to Matheran on Sunday 29th June,2008.
It was a fun trip.

We were fully drenched but still had the enthusiasm in us to walk atleast few more kilometres to see the points like Monkey point,Hart point(that's what they spell it!),one tree point,Alexander point,Chalotte Lake.

It was a heavenly experience as it was raining very heavily and there was a thick fog.The visibility was very less.
The most interesting was Echo point,a point where you will find people yelling, shouting just to hear an echo.
I saw a big monkey at near Monkey point,it was as big as a 12 year old kid.
Damn!...it scared wits out of us.

While coming back ,we came walking down the mini rail track till the taxi stand.
The eateries there are not so good (especially Non. veg),you can opt for vegetarian food..which is hygienic too.But dont forget to keep atleast an hour for your foodie time,as the food joints there take a lot of time to prepare the food.

You can take a horse or a hand cart on a rent if you are tired of walking, but if you are young enough to walk...Go TREKKING...!!!!!!
